so this is what http://totallychelsea.tumblr.com/ said to me. idk if im completley missing how or whatever but i tried to reblog what he said to reply and had no idea how to. so whatever this is how im doing it.

she is not saying that you dont respect yourself if you have sex alot. and shes not saying just girls, shes saying everyone that has sex with multiple people, spreading sti’s around to smarten the fuck up and keep your pants on because no one wants sti’s from whores who sleep around with MULTIPLE people.

what she was saying was still offensive because she’s still telling people what they can or cannot (or should or should not, in this case) do with their bodies when it is none of her business. how much sex any person has is no one’s business but that person’s, and acting like she’s allowed to tell people how much sex they should have, or with how many people, is just completely wrong.

what she’s doing is slut-shaming. you can say all you want that she’s talking about anyone who fucks a lot of people (which is still wrong to do, and i’m not saying it’s suddenly okay if it’s not only women), but she only ever addresses girls who sleep around. slut-shaming is used to oppress women. it’s used to blame women if anything bad happens to them, because she’s just a slut and she had it coming, right?

that’s why people are getting so pissed. because it’s a legitimate, feminist issue, which you, as a person, but especially as a woman, should care more about. no one’s getting pissed just because they disagree, they’re getting pissed because she is being blatantly sexist.

seriously like you guys just need to calm the fuck down. its a video expressing how she feels. you guys gonna tell us its wrong to express our feelings and opinions? you guys are getting way to carried away over one video she did. you guys are how fucking old and shes in grade 11 like get the fuck over it already.

being in grade 11 does not give you a free pass to be ignorant. she’s the genius who posted her ~humble opinion on a public forum. people are allowed to call others on their shit and goddamnit it needs to be done. people will react strongly when you say dumb shit. if anything, this is a good opportunity to learn that when you say something on the internet, someone will always be there to argue with you. if you’re old enough to use a computer unsupervised, you’re old enough to hear when you’re wrong.

and when you say something problematic and fucked up and rude on the internet, goddamn yes people will call you out and tell you what you’re doing wrong, and hell fucking nobody owes it to you to be polite. i will never calm down about sexism.
